OVERNIGHT OATS

The Simplest Breakfast,
for a Busy Lifestyle.

We've been told our whole lives that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but how many of us actually do eat a balanced and nutritious breakfast every morning. A cup of coffee taken black like your soul, does not count and that banana as you are sprinting out the door barely counts.

I'm sort of a grown up now, I even meal prep and organize for my week now.  Let me tell you, these overnight oats and muffin tin frittatas have made breakfast a breeze.  Overnight oats is like if breakfast and dessert combined with oatmeal in a sweet chilled pudding.  It's awesome -do it.

| what you will need :

a mason jar
with lid

regular oats

brown sugar

cane sugar

vanilla extract

cinnamon

nutmeg

bananas

almond milk

granola
(optional)

berries/pomegranate
(optional)

peanut/almond/sunflower/nut
(optional)

| LAYER the oats on the bottom with the brown sugar, cane sugar and spice -filled about half with the oats.   Then add the thin sliced banana on the top with a dash more sugar and spice. Then add the almond milk filling to about the haf mark where the oats stop and the bananas begin. Tighten the lid and let it rest overnight in the fridge.

| NOW in the morning, shake up the mason jar, mix it, toss it around a little.  You will see you have this great light pudding like oatmeal-deliciousness. Spoon it into a bowl.

| TOP it with more fruit and I like to add a little granola for texture range.

| GET real crazy and add a drizzle of something like this.
