NOMS | dinner @ DOS CAMINIOS in SOHO

Modern Mexican
( 212 ) 277 - 4300

After a full day adventure around Manhattan,  fine mexican is a great pick.  Traditional flavors kicked up with a new american twist and of course a great tequila and of course a craft margarita menu help to bump it up! Dos Caminos has a few locations and a ton of sister restaurants and I can certainly see why.  Each dish and cocktail was perfectly done.

The whole vibe was really great, as was the service.  I would definitely recommend this spot.  The drinks and food was fab, and apparently they are known for fab special salsas and fresh guacamole.   Apparently we missed out in not getting any, but all the appetizers we did enjoy were simply amazing. And most importantly, get the dessert!

SPECIALTY COCKTAIL | milagro blanco, cantaloupe puree, cucumber, lime with black salt rim

ENSALADA DEL MERCADO | watermelon, cucumber, poblano chiles, mint, queso fresco, and jacques lime dressing.

CHORIZO FUNDIDO | melted menonita, oaxaca and cojita cheeses, mexican dark beer, spicy chorizo, warm corn tortillas.

DOS ENCHILADAS | roasted chicken rolled in corn tortillas, queso menonita, mole poblano and tomatillo verde sauces.

DOS CAMINOS BOCADITO TRIO | { two pieces each } chicken taquitos : pulled chicken and sweet potatoes with crema, shredded lettuce, tomatillo-avocado sauce and queso fresco | baja shrimp tostaditas : steamed shrimp, chipotle aioli, fresh thyme and crispy tostaditas |  plantain empanadas : roasted plantain masa, black beans, poblano chiles, queso añejo

TACOS DE POLLO | grilled citrus-marinated chicken, queso fresco, pinto bean, chicken chicharrón, salsa suprema

DARK CHOCOLATE TAMALE | warm soft chocolate cake, mexican chocolate sauce, avocado ice cream
