Take a walk on the wild side

Party Animals Part II
We walk on the wild side.

Another adventure of bass, vibes, and fun packed into a 12 hour day of frolic.  My life my rules.  I try to go balls to wall with everything. Despite a busy schedule or really expensive tickets, I find a way to make it happen.  Just live, you know?  So I've been so busy.. living-  that this post is terribly late.  That, I apologize for.  Not the living part. ;)  This was a month ago, but I still figured I'd share some of the fun and what I wore, of course!

For those who don't know, Electric Zoo is a 12 hour excursion into wonderland in the City.  It is a series of stages, vendors, grassy knolls, vibrant people, and body grabbing beats held on Randall's Island in NYC.  From day into night we dive into the sea of dancing people. Just come arrive well rested and ready to rage! It's a great time and its the kind of place you and thousands of people become friends. Now, the rules when dressing for EZoo is, there are no rules.  You wear literally whatever you are feeling, and you meet people decked out in "feelings" you never see out in the real world. All furry boots, kitty ears, panda hats, angel wings, tutus, nipple paint and kandi gear acceptable.

Although, as I mentioned earlier, "my life, my rules"- exactly! Therefore, call me old, but I find tutus to be extremely uncomfortable and itchy! I get the culture and I've thought it was awesome since events like this used to be in abandoned tunnels and warehouses.  I especially admire all the hard work that goes into some of the elaborate costumes, but I'm just not that dedicated to a whole other project.  The amount of time and money I would need for an awesome party costume was just not plausible, because I always go big or go home.  Well, going big wasn't an option and there was no going home when I had an Electric Zoo bracelet. So I knew I would have to figure something out. I always try to dress fabulously, but reasonably comfortably, and of course affordably!

This year there was no extra cash for an outfit for every event I attended, so I had to find something fun, comfortable, easy to move in, and it had to be hot..... weather appropriate.  Of course it would be a hot look too, that goes without saying!  I decided to pull one of my favorite skirts because its a fun vibrant color, but is super comfortable and casual enough.  The top I chose is actually a lace crop top t-shirt that I folded and tucked as a tube top. It was a last minute decision, but I think a success.

( Above & Beyond )

\\ MOSSIMO lace crop top (tucked and worn as tube-top) // TARGET belt //
