Twas a Midsummer's Love

Last week, Aaron & I celebrated our 3 year anniversary
with a trip up to the Hudson Valley, upstate New York.
The perfect two day getaway.
We try to get up here every year to see the plays at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival,
on the Boscobel Mansion property in Garrison NY.
They do amazing renditions on Shakespeare's classics, with a few spoofs,
and even a some Hitchcock plays.
This year we saw Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps" and Billy Shake's "Romeo & Juliet",
which were both phenomenal.

Just as phenomenal as the view is.

DAY 1:
THE HUDSON VALLEY
Garrison, NY

So when dressing for the first evening where we would see "The 39 Steps"
and then go for a late night dinner and some drinks.
I wanted something light and a touch flowy and feminine,
yet I wanted it to be causal enough to be walking around and picnicking comfortably,
yet be pulled together enough to go out after.
I chose a moderate heeled, comfortable wedge that wasn't too high,
no one wants to be the girl who looks like she can't walk in her own shoes- especially on grass.

(  (  DAY 2 : PART I   )  )

There is nothing better than randomly deciding to drive to the top of a mountain and look at the view.  We spent day two aimlessly wandering around Cold Springs, Ny, beautiful and quaint as well as purely enjoying the fresh air.  I'm happy to say that it was the perfect day with the perfect man.

I didn't quite have a scene change, but I did switch up my shoes.  I wore my classic go-to sandal which I'm sure you'll recognize from a few of my posts.  I figured I wanted to wear a simple dress and heels for an early anniversary dinner with my love, so with our path headed for a day of exploration- flat sandals were a must as well.
