Preface .

"You can never be overdressed or overeducated."
( -Coco Chanel )
Live Awesomely .

We are all going to die, the goal is not to live forever-
the goal is to create something that will.
Our Mind, our soul, our body- this is our quintessence of our being.
Let's fill, absorb, enjoy and revel our mind, body and soul in the presence of awesome: Life.
Style is eternal, just as any other knowledge or skill.
Personal style is the exterior embodiment of our purpose and how we represent ourselves.
Daily fashion is expression and should be reflective of one's definitive essence.
Fashion is the new art: be part of the movement

(* Eclectic photos  of my favorite people, my bedroom, and my kitty: these are a few of my favorite things.)

It is one's own personal style, culture, ambition and lifestyle that shape a forward momentum that will carry a note of elegance and drive.

This is the heart of your style and represents your lifestyle.

A mentality that paves a life of the lavishly hard-working optimists that

 eventually become the lavishly rich.

Now we all know that the apparent essence is: fabulous and that we are all a whole lot of awesome,

but sometimes awesome can be a bit out of the financial grasp.
iCantAffordmylifestyledotcom! "

This is a phrase I've always used to anecdote my frequent champagne taste

known as my inability to afford things that I feel are just as fabulous as me -
an unfortunate feeling that occasionally taunts us all.

Don't fret what you can't afford, having style is simply having the eye for matching certain colors,
lines, textures, shapes & looks.

Unless you have multiple commas in the bank and can blow thousands of dollars on fine Couture and have more Louie Vuitton than Kimora Lee*; then do your thingggg!

(Owns more Louis Vuitton, that LV himself & owns the largest collection in the world. )*

Although, if you only have 3 or 4 digits in your bank account, then know-
The Basics:
  1. You don't need "designer" labels to look pulled together and fashionable every day, although it can help, all you need is a good eye. ;)  & Pay attention to designer looks, the look may be more available that you realize.
  2. On that note, although equally important some things just can not be faked. (Can't ever be chic if your DG is backwards).
  3. The Essential Balance is composed of key quality pieces: a  designer handbag, fine European made shoes, sophisticated Italian sunglasses.  These are the kind of items where the quality can make a difference.  Surrond your wardrobe with just a few refined pieces (what girl wouldn't mind more than a few, but hey..) and less-expensive fillers and add-ons: & Suddenly you can afford a dream wardrobe straight out of Pinterest.
  4. Reinvent the traditions and break the rules. (well most, never break the NO sandals and socks rule - not now, not never.)
  5. I truly believe "Every woman looks  better in a sundress", and a smile never hurts - true story (Atmosphere).

[stahyl]noun, verb styled, styl·ing.

Style, to every definition of the word will be covered within my blog in relation with my version of creating a beautiful life.  I apply each of the following aspects of style to my life and adapt it to a lifestyle that is ruled by art, fashion, fun, film, food, love, music, beauty and a dream. Just a girl with a dream.

So- now you've heard my mission.
I suppose this is where I'm supposed to tell you about me.

27 years young. Born on St. Paddy's Day 1987;  Taegu City- South Korea. This Twinkie (yellow on the outside, white on the inside. lol) was adopted and flown to the US-of-A at only 4 months old and grew up on the North Fork of Long Island, NY- also known as Wine Country.    To answer all who insist on always asking, "what are you?",  I simply reply 'Murican".

(my brother, my daddy, me & my boyfriend)

As American as they come, I'm an adopted Korean/Italian-American.
I have pretty awesome parents and my brothers aren't that bad either.
I owe a lot of my awesomeness to my dad and brother, they were my everything. ;)
My family is a combination of Sicilian, Greek, Irish, German, French,
 English, Mexican, and Puerto Rican.
Yes, we are like the United Nations!

(me as queen of the world..well NYC)

I have lived all over the North and South Forks of Long Island,
and I currently reside on Eastern LI and still work in the Hamptons.
I've also spent time living in Fairfield and Westport, Connecticut
and also on the Isla of Culebra in the Caribbean.
I've been sketching and drawing people since I was 6
and always knew I wanted to create beautiful things.
I've wanted to style clothing since I was 10 years old.
I coordinated my first fashion show when I was 18.
Worked PR and was a design assistant  at 20 .
Been working a billion jobs, soul searching and wandering ever since.
Almost done with my  business degree!
Then I  plan to live in the city  and-
complete my bachelor's degree at an awesome art school;
applying to F.I.T, Pratt, and Parson's.
followed by a semester abroad,
and I also plan to live somewhere else outside of the country
to intern before I settle down as well.
Well, settle down, by my standards that is.
I plan to to be 85 and still not be old. ;)

(my bestie, my boyfriend & me in mexico)

hmmm, my personal life?
I have a very small circle of intimate friendships-
they might as well be blood.
As for Romantic life?
I 've found the man I know I couldn't live without.
We call this love.
His name is Aaron
and we've been dating almost 4 years.
He is the best person I've ever met.
And he's super hot too.
We love to be awesome, we know no other way.

(my love and i)

Basically, that's all you need to know.

I'm pretty Awesome!
