The Grass is always Greener

Greener on the other side?
Or as green as you decide to make it.

The choice is always yours and I always choose the other side, not because I think it looks greener, but because I plan to make it greenest freaking grass ever.  That's just how I do, I suppose.

There is always room for improvement and my focus has been on improving my life for the future and I suppose my blogging has been taking the brunt of my lack of attention. I've been very limited on my posting lately and you will have to forgive me, but all of my posts are going to be about 2 weeks behind when they actually happened.  But I still plan to keep you all up to date with my crazy lifestyle.

A few weeks ago it was the annual opening of the summer fun season in the very seasonal Eastern Long Island area.  People come from all over to enjoy our awesome beaches, fabulous restaurants with spectacular views, tastings at some pretty sweet vineyards, good shopping, more or less cause tons of traffic and congestion and make me work almost all of the extended weekend.  I did manage to at last get the monday of MDW OFF! And it was glorious I tried to do a little bit of everything all in one day!  I enjoyed the beach on the South Fork, then spent the late afternoon at the vineyards with some friends and then went further out on the North Fork to have dinner at Legends, one of my favorites!  As per usual, go big or go home is the motto- we enjoyed cocktails, then wine, appetizers (try the filet mignon martini), dinner, dessert, and of course cappuccinos!  After all what's the point of living if you are not enjoying!?

The outfit I chose is very simple, but I thought the neon yellow gave it a little extra flair. Again, almost everything is from Target.  Only my sandals are designer.  I swear I don't know how I'd afford to dress the way I do if it weren't for stores like Target and H&M- as well as having friends that work in retail that get killer discounts! I also want to take a moment to point out the sweatshirt blazer I am wearing, which as I've said I have tons of variations and colors in I think is clutch to any girl's wardrobe to dress-down something or make a causal look more fun.  This particular one is very versatile because of the zipper seam in the middle so it can be worn as a cropped jacket as shown here or full length with a funky zipper shown here.
